RECYCLE
Recycling and disposal is not harmonized across Europe. That means the answer on how to recycle and dispose of an empty BalloonGaz cylinder is different by country and state and even by municipality sometimes. Instructions about recycling and disposal can be found in the BalloonGaz user manual which is included in all BalloonGaz boxes. We recommend contacting the locally responsible waste recycling and disposal provider to clarify local details and requirements.
FLOATING TIMES
There are 2 types of balloons that can be filled with helium gas, latex balloons and foil balloons.
Before filling balloons with helium gas always check if the balloons are suitable to be filled with helium gas. If a balloon is too small, the balloon will not float.
The average floating time of foil balloons is 5 - 7 days.
The average floating time of latex balloons is much shorter compared to foil balloons:
ø 23 cm: 6 - 8 hours
ø 25 cm: 10 - 12 hours
ø 28 cm: 10 - 12 hours
ø 30 cm: 10 - 12 hours
ø 33 cm: 20 - 24 hours
The average floating time of latex balloons is different per balloon size. Latex balloons lose helium gas approximately 20 times faster than air therefore latex balloons should be filled with helium gas only 1 - 2 hours prior to an event.
The floating time latex and foil balloons can be much shorter in case of bad environmental conditions, e.g. direct sunlight, air-conditioning, strong air movement, outdoor use, etc.
